decoponの洋服は、その多くが昔きもの（古布）を利用して作られています。
多くは大正〜昭和初期時代のもので、ほとんどは日本の骨董店で手に入れました。
現代の着物、生地には見られない、艶やかさと大胆さに心を奪われ、 まるで布の力に導かれるように、洋服をつくりました。
古布に触れる度に、その柄や色に映された時代を感じ、 一枚一枚にそそがれたであろう、人々の想いに心を馳せます。
そんな楽しさを、着ていただく人と共感できるような、 洋服を届けられたらと願っています。

The clothes from Decopon are made from
antique kimono fabrics, mainly from the early Taisho - Showa
Eras.
I find them in second-hand stores, curio shops and antique
markets in Japan.
There is nothing like this in modern fabrics, stunningly
seductive and amorous. The fabrics each have their own messsage
and drama, and reflect on their era.
Every time I touch these antique kimono fabrics, I can imagine
the thoughts and passions of the original wearers.
I am drawn to making clothes becasue of these fabrics, as
a way of taking the spirit of the cloth and giving it new
life.
I hope I can share this feeling with people when they wear
them.

decoponのアトリエは、中国山東省にあります。
時代を生き残ったむかし着物に、同じものは一つとしてありません。だから洋服もすべて手作りの、一点もの。
古布たちは丁寧にほどかれ、洗濯をされると、 古めかしい呪縛を解かれ、新しい命を吹き込まれます。
そうやってゆっくり作られた洋服たちは、 手仕事の尊さや、日々の生活を楽しむ豊かな気持ちを思い出させてくれるでしょう。
日常と、かけがえのない瞬間を彩る主役として。

All my clothes are unique
and not reproducible, and made in my atelier in Shandong,
China.
The antique kimono is carefully deconstructed, then washed
and finally given new life on my designs.
When our hearts want comfort, we most appreciate the value
of skilled handwork, and human details.
